Wow its been a few years since Ive been on here.  I would like to talk about desensitizing America.

Question about this topic is how are we making Americans desensitized to standards from a generation ago?  I would say repetitious behavior.  An example would probably be how on Sundays when I was a kid the only thing open was Church over time the almighty dollar now has everything open and even for 24 hours.  As time has gone on more and more of societies secrets has been desensitized.  I am waiting for the day that they show women how to use tampons on the TV, by gosh they sure do curse more on public television and the clothes have gotten skimpier and skimpier.

I want to know more that you have noticed, I could keep going and will comment on others as they go.

to the Democrats

Whao slow down on trying to cut funding to the military, look at the government contractors that you have signed off on and the money that they are making.

Someguy who got out of the military and goes to work for a contractor doing the samething that we should be and they are making 5 times yes 5 times what your military person is making.

For example can make from 130,000 to 200,000 us dollars and I only make 42,000 hmmmmm does it make sense?????????

Wake up congress, get out of that dream of yours and look at the books!!! OR ARE YOU GETTING MONEY TOO?????

"The Surge"

What is a "surge" well in Army tems is going to the fight and getting the enemy to come out in the open.  Now who is the enemy - insurgent?  Good question they do not wear a uniform, they are hard to find because they blend in with the populas.  How do you fight the enemy you cant see?  Hummm this is a question for the Vietnam vets.

They say history always reapeats itself and here we are again, As a kid I was intrigued with the war (Police action) that my father faught.  I never really got answers from him it was more beating around the bush because he wanted to forget, it was'nt till I got older and studied that war.  I also talked to Vets from that war as well.

This is the determination and my opionon of that war, Political assasination of our troops, now mind you that was 1964 to 1974, 10 years the first few years was a battle, then all of sudden the Politician got involved and the last 6 or 7 years was a mess.

Time 2003, "Ladies and Gentelmen of our great nation we are at war with Iraq".  The men and women did a wonderful job of kicking butt and getting rid of Saddam.  Time now, Two politicians one President Bush and the other Prime Minister Al Maliki (Iraq).  Troops you cant do this and you cant do that, sounds familiar Vets.

Last night the President spoke to our People to tell you that we are going to surge, Ladies and Gentelman I give you this, there will be more of our Soldiers in even more harms way, do not forget them, keep them in your hearts and prayers.  This surge is going to be tough!!

Dad I now know what you went through and how you felt about our Government!!!!        Love you for what you did.

3000

In baseball if a player hits 3000 hits he is a shoe in for the baseball hall of fame, in football a player has 5 or more good years and makes the probowl all those times or even has a good carer in football get elected to the HOF, this is the same for all sports.  We as a general americans have put the emphasis on good carers get you recognized for your accomplishments and we make sure that the occasional bar get togethers, barbecues and at work we talk about them.  I have seen these figures almost put on pedestals as if they are Heros.

We have lost 3000 american men and women of our great nation in a country that no one really cares about especially now that the Leader of Iraq has been hung and is defiantly dead and gone.  America now is the time to not forget these Brave men and women, now is not the time to forget that there is a purpose to being here, now is not the time to forget the 3000 and probably more in the future that have given there lives for their Country and to help a country to build itself possibly into a great nation.  Now is the time to continue supporting the American armed forces that are protecting our country.

If you ask yourself what are we protecting, here are some answers to ponder from an old Sergeants point of view, 1) Since 9/11 how many times has the extremist attacked our soil?.  I am sure you have heard of IEDs 2)  if we were not here, how many americans would be killed by IEDs on our roads?.  3)  If we were not here the people of Iraq would still be suffering a fate of death and starvation from a Dictator and his two sons were worse!.

America even if you don't agree with the President and what he has done please believe in what your fellow Americans are doing and why they are here in Iraq and Ahganistan, please do not forget that we are still here trying to oppress tyranny and bring democracy to a country that has never known what freedom is, America please never forget the men and women of America that have given there lives and the ones that will.

When you out and you see men or women with veteran hats on go up and shake there and say thank you, watch and see and then you will understand.

                                            THESE ARE THE TRUE HERO'S

Happy New Year

Hello everyone and Happy New Year, this new year is a little different, Im in a foriegn country where drinking is not allowed.  This is also a general order by the armed forces so I would'nt be able to drink if this country carried booze.
I called home talked to the wife and kids, as usual the kids have a bunch of friends over and the wife drank a shot of Beam over the phone for me.
Its funny, I'm not much on emotions (learned it from my dad) but this time was different, had a little lump in the throat after talking to the wife and kids.
Before I left, my son (in the 9th grade) told me that they were studying about the Gulf War, so that means he was learning about what I did 15 years ago, made him feel proud.  Now I did the same to my dad about Vietnam, and another 15 years someone will study this war.  I have made history twice, Kicked his (Sadam) ass out of Kuwait and now the Gallows.  15 years ago this is what should of been done and we wouldnt be here now, fate brings you full cirlce at times, and I have completed my circle with the man who started the cirlce if you know what I mean.
Life is funny isnt it.  HAPPY NEW YEAR YALL
